This first stuff here is experiments with the latest form of lime (or quartz or whatever). Like previous quartzes it's a geometry system where we use just orthogonals (0, PI/2) and diagonals (PI/4,3PI/4). A constrained geometry system. Not cellular, but with these cell-like things. The idea is, we can get vast variety by doing a basic isoceles right triangle differentiation. Consider that with the 2 basic differentiations + chorussing pseudorandoms as brains we can get a handle on a vast amount of generative power.
This 2 triangle differentiations game is really cool. It's like magic. Observe - Both differentiations of the IRT result in more IRTs. Also, a new vertex in the side always splits the side perfectly. This is a very controllable fractal. Pretty? Well… good for something I'm sure.
In these red and green things the color denotes triangle type, either of 2 basic orientations, skewed or unskewed. Contemplate the IRT diff.
In these other quartz systems we're looking at an orthogonal/diagonal system with integer coordinates.
The ones on the left is cellular.
the ones on the right are just vector in integerland. We get control and variety via the usual dance, we just do it in this simple integer-point geometry system. Nice, but also fails to satisfy. Remember the undershapes or whatever I called them. I'm going that direction. The raw bones of graphics. Jellyfish vision.
